Furness Park Kudzu Removal Event – April 20th

Join us for the Nether Providence Township Furness Park Kudzu Removal Event, where we’ll be tackling the invasive kudzu vine threatening the local ecosystem. Volunteers are crucial for the success of this initiative, and we invite you to lend a helping hand. The event will take place from 9 AM to noon. Please enter through the entrance near Turner Road and Rogers Lane (near the park sign). Parking is available on Turner Road, Rogers Lane, or at Wallingford Presbyterian Church.

To ensure your comfort and safety during the event, we recommend wearing long pants and long sleeves, as well as sturdy boots. While equipment will be provided, such as gloves and clippers, feel free to bring your own trimmers, clippers, or any other tools you think might be useful.

Your participation in this event will not only contribute to the preservation of Furness Park’s natural beauty but also foster a sense of community and environmental stewardship. Together, we can make a difference in safeguarding our local ecosystem for future generations. We look forward to seeing you there!
