SOUTH MEDIA FIRE COMPANY CAMPAIGN DRIVE
South Media Fire Company will hold a fundraising event at Media Shopping Center on March 11th and March 13th. On Thursday, March 11th at 4:00 PM, ECHO Realty, the owners of Media Shopping Center will be presenting South Media Fire Company Chief Max Hopkins a check to kick-off their fundraising campaign at the property. The fire company will be back on Saturday, March 13th, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm for a boot drive. All social distancing protocols will be followed.

Over the past year, Covid-19 has hindered the ability of South Media Fire Company from conducting their routine fundraising, and they are in need to raise funds for equipping and training the volunteer members. Fire Chief Max Hopkins expressed gratitude of the Fire company by saying “I want to thank ECHO Reality for their generosity and being a great partner in the community. The South Media Fire Company has been in operation for almost 100 years and as we look to celebrate that historic milestone the funds we raise will help us to continue to provide high quality service to the residents of the community. South Media Fire company is staffed entirely by volunteers, and ECHO Realty has put a smile in the hearts of our devoted members. Founded in 1922, the South Media Fire Company is a small neighborhood all-volunteer organization serving Nether Providence Township, the Borough of Rose Valley, and the surrounding areas. Our company, along with the Garden City Fire Company, make up the Nether Providence Fire Department. The Fire Company will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary next year.
