JOB OPENING
Nether Providence Twp, Del. Co., PA (pop 13,500) seeks an Assistant Township Manager. The Assistant will act in the absence of the Manager and be responsible for finance and budget, information technology, insurance matters, be a liaison to various Township Board and Commissions, prepare proposals for professional services, help with grant proposals, contract purchases, respond to constituent complaints, deal with personnel and labor negotiation issues, and work on special projects among other duties. Bachelor's degree required. Masters in Public Administration and/or prior municipal experience a plus. Woodward Bridge Update
The eastbound lane on the Woodward Road bridge is CLOSED until repairs can be engineered and repaired. The westbound lane has a 6 ton weight limit posted.
These restrictions are expected to be in place a minimum of 6 months.

Attention Residents
The following is a list of commonly violated Township Codes which will be strictly enforced by the Code Enforcement Department:
1: Parking on the front yards
2: High grass
3: Unlicensed/unregistered cars
4: Cars in a state of disrepair
5: Accumulation of trash on properties
All of the above will be issued a written warning and then a court citation.

INFORMATION ON SANITARY SEWER BLOCKAGES
In the event of a Sewer Stoppage in your residence, please contact the Township office during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm except holidays). If no answer, please call 911 immediately who will dispatch the Township Public Works Department.
Please note the Township will not pay for plumbing services so call 911 first.
Please call 911 immediately if you view a sanitary sewer overflow anywhere in the Township. Please call the Township office during normal business hours if you see any discoloration in any stream or creek. Call 911 if you see any discoloration or bad odors from a stream or creek. Also, please see the DEP water quality hotlines on the Township website under the Stormwater Management section.
Please do not place anything other that toilet tissue into a toilet house drain. Paper towels, grease, plastic or other hard objects, as well as feminine products are a leading cause of sanitary sewer blockages.
