Police Department Grant Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program Nether Providence Township is eligible for $13,200 from the JAG Program.  The Police Department request that this grant be used to purchase two items for Traffic calming in the Town. 1.  ENRADD EJ4-91 - This is an approved speed timing device accepted by Penn DOT.  This device can be used for speed enforcement on streets with limited sight distances.  2.  Speed Sentry Shield - A portable radar speed sign which can be used for traffic calming and will record vehicle speed data used in traffic studies. 3.  Training on ENRADD - Officers will need to be trained in the use of the ENRADD device. 4.  Remaining funds used for community policing programs and training.
